Mina Kumar
Mina brings extensive experience
developing revenue-generating strategies for non-profits, strategies
and metrics for mission-driven organizations, and a track record
of working in entrepreneurial environments. Most recently, Mina
developed a business plan for mixed-use affordable housing, retail
services, and fee-based therapy programs for a non-profit provider
of transitional housing and emergency services for battered women
and their children. She also designed an economic mobility model
for ShoreBank, a community economic development and environmental
bank, to track socio-economic progress of its clients and target
neighborhoods, measure mission fulfillment, and improve accountability
and governance.
Mina has an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern
University, where she majored in finance, and received the "top
student" award in the nonprofit/public management program.
Prior to business school, Mina was responsible for new book acquisitions
and business development at Hong Kong University Press, a non-profit
academic publisher dedicated to preserving and promoting regional
scholarship and culture. She has a BA from Princeton University,
where she graduated with honors.
